How to check tension:
Two pneumatic cylinders, mounted on each side of the fixed center spindle, flex the saw hollow. The amount of deflection is measured by a dial indicator. The value from the dial indicator is in direct relation to the tension of the saw and allows therefore to compare one saw with another.

Universal test stand for checking top or side runout and tension on saw blanks, finished carbide tipped saws or segmental saws from dia. 100 mm to 800 mm.

This test stand is normally used by manufacturers of saw bodies or finished saws. The saw body is clamped via pneumatic cylinder, actuated by a foot valve, for quick and easy change. This feature allows large volume checking in production facilities.
